Auto-Enrollment For All Company Employees

Auto-Enrollment can be a difficult feature to install in some company retirement plans. At the conclusion of a Plan Sponsor University (TPSU), Fiduciary Education Program held at the location of the University of Memphis, in Memphis, Tennessee, TPSU Founder, and CEO Fred Barstein spoke with Lauren, a Human Resources Generalist within the food services industry who attended the TPSU Program.  She discusses with Mr. Barstein some of what an employer considers when implementing an auto-enrollment feature within a 401k plan. Even though there can be obvious benefits for the plan participants and the plan sponsor – there can also be drawbacks within such an arrangement.
