Retirement Committee Prudently Manages Fiduciary Liability
Retirement Committee oversight may be just what you and your plan needs.
Most 401k and 403b plans have a Retirement Committee or Investment Committee. But for those plan sponsor firms that have formed a Retirement Committee; most do not have formal training on how to prudently run the committee. If your Retirement Committee is functioning properly, there is a good chance that the organization’s time spent overseeing the plan is minimized, your participants will be better prepared for retirement and your firm’s fiduciary liability is well-managed.
But be aware – resources are scarce for assisting Retirement Committees to create, empower and run a retirement committee. Until now.
The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU) has conducted almost 700 half day training programs for almost 10,000 plan sponsors since 2013. During the years, we have clearly heard that plan sponsors need direction and guidance on how to properly run their retirement committee. As a result, we developed three online, interactive courses, available on our Learning Management System, that carry one hour of CE each in collaboration with a leading practitioner and the top benefit law firm in Washington.
Normally, these three courses are available at the cost $495; but, TPSU is offering complimentary access to one of these courses to the first 100 plan sponsors who respond. Act now by responding to this note and we will provide complimentary access and one hour of CE.
The curriculum for TRCE (TPSU Retirement Committee Education) includes:
- Why a firm should form a Committee?
- What should you Name the Committee?
- How to Choose Committee Membership
- Committee Formation
- Committee Functions
- Best Practices
ACT NOW! Click below to register for complimentary access to one of the three TRCE courses plus one hour of CE.
