401k Re-Enrollment Requires More Education

401k Re-Enrollment Requires Even More Education. Auto-enrollment for employees continues to trend upward for 401k and 403b plans. However, automatic re-enrollment still lags behind.  The Benefits and HR manager of a Boston-based company, with approximately 150 employees, shared her thoughts on automatic re-enrollment while attending a TPSU program at Bentley University.  She believes that automatic re-enrollment requires additional employee education since it impacts existing employees who have never joined a  company’s defined contribution plan.

Although the TPSU Ideal Plan and use of many “auto-features” provide great benefits and results, The TPSU Ideal Plan as described should spend extra time on employee education and engagement when the employee-base is auto re-enrolled in the 401k plan.
