Fiduciaries and Trustees of 401(k) Plans and Defined Benefit Plans are invited to take advantage of a half-day education program being held at the University of Pennsylvania, 249 South 36th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 2016 from 8:30AM to 2:30PM. The program has been approved for 5 hours of Continuing Education Credit with human resources associations and a national accounting organization.
The TPSU Program
The core curriculum being addressed during the day will include the topics of Behavioral Finance, Understanding Retirement Readiness and Measuring the Impact of Outcomes for a Company Retirement Plan.
The U.S. Department of Labor encourages company retirement plan fiduciaries to be proactive in their pursuit of Fiduciary Training and Education so fiduciaries are positioned to be good stewards of qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) Plans.
There is no cost to attend the TPSU Education Program, however attendees do need to register in advance since seating is limited.
The TPSU Adjunct Lecturer
Mr. Tim Dougherty, Adjunct Lecturer of The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU) will be instructing and moderating during the entire Program. The core curriculum being addressed during the day will include the topics of Behavioral Finance, Understanding Retirement Readiness and Measuring the Impact of Outcomes for a Company Retirement Plan.

- Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P®), a designation conferred by The Retirement Advisor University, a collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a certification conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Washington, DC
- Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS), a Masters Degree conferred by the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA
Tim was honored by the Society of Financial Service Professionals as a 2002 recipient of the Paul S. Mills scholarship, awarded for commitment to ethical practice, lifelong education, and volunteerism in the financial services industry. This is the highest honor awarded to SFSP members among its 24,000 members (in 2003.
Tim resides in Jamison, PA where he enjoys music, golf, football, baseball, wrestling and travel with his wife and their two children.
