fiduciary educationFiduciary Education Event – The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU) is inviting Fiduciaries and Trustees of 401(k) Plans and those working on their organization’s 403(b) or Defined Benefit Plans to take advantage of a half-day education Program being held at the University of Evansville Ridgway University Center on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 8:00AM to 2:00PM.

 

This TPSU Program has been approved for 5 hours of Continuing Education Credit with human resources associations and a national accounting organization.

Your TPSU Adjunct Lecturer – Kristi Baker, C(k)P

Kristi Baker is President and Owner of Compensation Systems, Inc. (CSI), a leading firm in retirement plan consulting, plan design and administration.  Since 1971, CSI has provided comprehensive services, industry-leading expertise and personal attention.  CSI partners with individuals and companies when preparing a financial roadmap for clients – helping to identify, document and manage retirement goals. Ms. Baker joined the firm in 1993.

Kristi is a strong advocate of financial education and successful retirement outcomes.

Kristi holds a B.S. in Finance and Insurance from Illinois Wesleyan University.  She serves as an adjunct lecturer for The Plan Sponsor University (TPSU), an affiliate of The Retirement Advisor University. During her career Kristi has achieved:

  • AIF®  – Accredited Investment Fiduciary
  • C(k)P® – Certified 401(k) Professional from The Retirement Advisor University, a collaboration with the Anderson School of Business and Executive Management at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA)
  • CASL® – Chartered Advisor of Senior Living
  • ChFC – Chartered Financial Consultant
  • CLU – Chartered Life Underwriter

Kristi, her husband Bryan and their twin sons reside in Carmel, Indiana, where she dedicates time to a number of local organizations.

Kristi was named to The Financial Times (FT) Top 401k Retirement Advisors of 2015.  She has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The TPSU Program

The core curriculum being addressed during the day will include the topics of Behavioral Finance, Understanding Retirement Readiness and Measuring the Impact of Outcomes for a Company Retirement Plan.

The U.S. Department of Labor encourages company retirement plan fiduciaries to be proactive in their pursuit of Fiduciary Training and Education so fiduciaries are positioned to be good stewards of qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) Plans.
