401(k) Plan Education – Is it a Mixed Bag?

401k Plan AutoEfforts to educate about 401(k) plans over the years have garnered both supporters and a large number of critics!  The real question when discussing 401(k) plan education centers around “what is being measured?”  Does one measure only retirement plan Assets?  Does it make more sense to count the number of Active Participants against prior years behavior?  Or would it be more appropriate to measure the Income Replacement Ratio when attempting to determine the success factors around 401(k) Plan Education?
